Viral Marketing
Taking it's concept from a virus which is spread (exponentially) between people who come into contact, this marketing could involve text, images, games, video (in fact anything) in any form, but is typically humorous or useful - and along with a brand name or message - so that the recipient passes it on to a friend or colleague. A successful viral marketing campaign requires seeding with influential members of groups that help promote the message.
